Selecting a correct rudder for a vessel is important to secure the vessels performance since one have to compomize between several factors like turning capabilities at low and high speed, drag, available space, vessel speed, ahead performance and more.

West Mekan can help you with this since we design, manufacture and supply rudders by taking care of all these factors to give the customer the needed performance.

Several types of rudders can be made like fish tail, spade rudder, balanced rudder, rudder with heel pintle and so on.

Our rudder tubes are made in materials to fit the actual vessel and give minimum of problems with corrosion, and litte maintence in general.

The rudders are made of casted or welded steel/stainless steel or casted aluminum bronze with a stock diameter up to 200 mm in diameter and a rudder area of about 3 m2.
