Type FP-A – propeller system with fixed pitch adjustable propeller

Type FP-A is a propeller system with fixed adjustable pitch propeller. This is a safe choice for all vessels and can be calculated to fit most vessels and applications.

On the other hand be aware that it has a lower effeciency than the FP (fixed pitch propeller) system, is much more expensive than the FP system and the spare parts are much more expensive. Due to this we do not recommend this propeller system, unless it is impossible to design a fixed pitch propeller.

The pitch is adjusted by a screw outside the propeller hub, and either the boat have to be slipped or a diver is needed to adjust the pitch.

Propellers are designed depending on the vessel and according to the client’s specifications. Propellers can be supplied with diameters up to 2,2 m, 3- or 4-blade. The propellers comply with the highest tolerance classes.
